Facebook's New "Suggestions"

Facebook Facelifted! What do you think? I love the new "Suggestions" feature, which sends us suggestions of friends or fan pages. Previously, it only told you that someone might share n common friends with you, why don't you add him / her. Now, the "Suggestions" feature offer greater variety in the way of suggesting friends to you. It even suggests what you could do for your friends.

Facebook asks me to "Suggest a Profile Picture" to Tony.
Apart from "Suggest a Profile Picture", Facebook shows a "35% Active" in this small box. Does anyone know what the percentage represents?
As Johnney has only 6 friends, so Facebook urges me to "Suggest Friends to him".
Similar to Johnney, Facebook wants me to "Suggest Friends for Him" (Shiu)
Write something on "45% Active" Jessie's Wall?

Aren't these newly added "Suggestions" funny?

A few words about Punch Party Hong Kong

(Photo taken by my good friend HKDOM)

Not sure how many English posts covering Punch Party. As an organizer of Punch Party HK (PPHK), I'd have a few words on this local event.

When I first knew Punch Party, it was from a friend of mine in Taiwan - Carol Lin, who is the organizer of Punch Party Taiwan (PPTW). As the popularity of PPTW grew, we shared a lot on the event. And in 2008, I worked with some elites in local blogosphere and twitterverse.

Punch Party is a gathering with fast-pace presentation. It requires invited speakers to present his experience in at least 20 slides within 7 minutes. This blogger-initiated event quickly conquered Taiwan; while Hong Kong people who are addicted to online media love it as well.

This is the third time we have this party, and probably the last full-scale one in 2009. On 30 Oct, we will run PPHK 3, with the theme "Vacation Mode", in a specially decorated Guest Room in kidX of Ocean Terminal. With such a special venue, I believe that this Punch Party would be the most special one, compared with the previous two occasions.

I'd present my gratitude to Karen and her Harbour City's team, as they have done a lot for the event. Karen told me she would have the party held in Harbour City when she first met me in June. I was surprised by her knowledge on the party, as well as her vision in social media. Up till now, everyone could see the revolution of Harbour City's Facebook strategies.

With a strong partner offering venue, F&B as well as logistics support, I could foresee a huge success for the upcoming Punch Party Hong Kong.
