Kindle Experience - Upgrading Firmware
Having enjoyed the first week of trial of Kindle, the reading experience of Amazon's books, especially those optimized for Kindle, has been quite good. The e-ink-powered ebook reader is slim and lightweighted, so it's very portable. My books in my bags are much bulkier than the Amazon's new hit product.
During the weekend, I upgraded the firmware to version 2.3, which offers extended battery life as well as PDF support. The upgrade is fairly easy. I plugged a USB connecting Kindle to my PC and copied the new firmware to Kindle. Then I could do the upgrade through pulling down the settings menu.
I put some PDFs to my Kindle - in the document folder. Upon unplugging the USB cable, I found my PDF files in the hoome screen. I could rotate the screen, so as to optimize the view of PDF files.
However, seems that I have no way to zoom in to details of contents on PDF files, which makes me difficult to read clearly the contents. Am I missing anything for the zoom-in-zoom-out feature?
Now I'm searching some tips about the ebook reader. This blog post is extraordinary! If you love the ebook reader, you'll love this post: Top 25 Kindle Hacks.
